Randolph I. James, Management Consultant, has worked in the field of Human Performance Technology for over twenty-five (25) years. For the past twenty (20) years he has operated as James & Associates serving clients in both the public and private sectors. He has completed projects in a broad range of industries and functions with such descriptions as:

Randy has published several articles about improving job performance
and has been a guest speaker at many inernational conferences and workshops.
He guest edited the Journal of Performance and Instruction
(January 1989) special issue entitled "Performance Technology in the 90's" and again in July/August 1998 for the double issue commemorating the 20th anniversary of Tom Gilbert's book "Human Competence: Engineering Worthy Performance."
He also authored a chapter in the "HRD Theory-to-Practice
Monograph: Contributions of Measurement Science to Training" published
by the American Society for Training and Development in February, 1989. Randy's book, "The No-Nonsense Guide to Common Sense Management"
was released in April of 1990 and has been widely used throughout the world.
Randy holds a BA degree in Psychology and an MA degree in Industrial and
Organizational Psychology. He has been a member of the part-time faculty
at California State University, Sacramento, teaching the course "Psychology
in Personnel Training and Development." He is an active member of the
International Society for Performance Improvement.
